Berardino Hotel is located in the center of Marsicovetere with a
wonderful view of the Val d'Agri. Its location presents the
typical advantages of a centrally located hotel, but also
ensures the peace, opportunities and the sight of unique
landscapes that are derived from 'a hotel in a dominant position
over the valley.
MARSICOVETERE

The City of Marsicovetere is composed of three separate villages:
Marsicovetere, the Old Town where there is the Hotel and
Villa D'Agri, which is the commercial center of prestige;
Barricelle, the most recent quarter constitution.
Of Roman origin, Marsicovetere owns numerous monumental
attractions:
- The Cathedral Church dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul was
completed in 1639 and renovated nell'800 '; has a chorus in
restored wood, 12 marble altars, two stone lions that support
un'acquasantiera the sixteenth century. Some paintings
Neapolitan school of 1700 and six statues, including the Our
Lady of the Assumption Volturino, most likely seventeenth

Bernardino and patron of the municipality.
- Important is the presence of two convents: the convent of
Santa Maria of Constantinople, located at the foot of the Old
Town and built in 1558, and the convent of Santa Maria

MONTE VOLTURINO

Mount Volturino is equipped with areas for picnic and camping
sites, a ski run approximately 2km long difficult
medium to high, and a lift for beginners. The lifts lead
early on the summit, where it enjoys a breathtaking landscape.
The Mount is also the destination of pilgrimage since hosting
the Shrine of the Assumption that Madonna, easily
accessible and is open on the last Sunday of May and ended on 15

LA VAL D'AGRI
The Val D'Agri covers about 500 square kilometers in the heart
dell'Appennino Lucano, and takes its name from the Agri River,
(136 km long) which was founded on the slopes of Mount Volturino
and flows into the sea close to Policoro, whose course
characterizes the bottom of the valley that stretches to the
foot of Marsicovetere.
The natural beauty in Val d'Agri are countless; worthy of note
are the beech wood of Volturino, rich in wild flowers such as
dark red cyclamen, the holly, red lilies and narcissus;
Moliterno of the beech wood from the trees and imposing chestnut
of Tramutola, the Oasis lake of Lake Pertusillo.
Among the various animals are reported in particular
dell'Appennino wolf, wild boars and otters along the river Agri.
Marsicovetere part in the 29 municipalities that are part of the
national park dell'Appennino Lucano Val D'Agri-Lagonegrese.
